Legal
Terms
Last updated: September 2026
These terms apply to quotes, temporary site installations and related services provided by CalTech Ltd, trading as CalTech Site Services. Where we agree separate written terms with you for a specific contract, those terms take priority for that contract.
About us
CalTech Ltd (company number SC804486) is registered at 44 Macrae Park, Muir of Ord, IV6 7AF. We are VAT registered (VAT number GB 387174069) and are currently insured by Allianz. You can contact us on 01463 830397 or at info@caltech.scot.
Quotes
Quotes are prepared based on the information you give us about the site, the load, the duration and the services required. A quote is valid for 30 days unless it states otherwise. Work starts once we have your written acceptance of the quote. If site conditions, duration or requirements change once work has started, we will discuss any adjustment with you before carrying it out.
Scope of work
We supply, install, test, support and remove temporary infrastructure, and coordinate specialist equipment through established hire partners where required. Hire equipment remains the property of the hire company and may be subject to the hire partner's own conditions. We will flag this to you in the quote where it applies.
Access and site conditions
You are responsible for providing safe access to the site and to the work area at the agreed times, and for any permits, permissions or landowner consents needed for the installation. We will work with you to resolve access problems where we can, but delays caused by missing access or permissions may affect the programme or price.
Payment
Invoices are payable in sterling by bank transfer. Payment terms and any deposit or stage payments are shown on the quote and on each invoice. We may charge interest on late payment in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Quality and standards
Electrical installations are carried out by qualified electricians and tested to the relevant British Standards. If you believe work has not been carried out properly, tell us as soon as possible and we will inspect it and put it right.
Liability and insurance
We hold employer's and public liability insurance through Allianz. We are responsible for injury, loss or damage caused by our negligence. We are not liable for loss or damage that is not our fault, or for indirect losses such as loss of profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Cancellation
If you cancel after accepting a quote, we will charge for work already carried out, equipment already ordered and any costs we cannot reasonably recover. We will always confirm these costs with you promptly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction over any dispute.
